Following on from our fantastic 2022 Battle of Britain Airshow, we are pleased to announce the 2023 Battle of Britain Airshow at Headcorn Aerodrome will be held on 30th June – 2nd July 2023.

The 2023 Battle of Britain Airshow will be our 8th event, exquisitely blending choreographed Battle-of-Britain era aircraft displays with family friendly attractions and re-enactments. We’re looking forward to engines roaring and crowds cheering for some one-of-a-kind air displays in the very airspace where the Battle of Britain took place over 80 years ago.

How do I find the show?

Can I camp at the show ground over the weekend?

Camp at the Battle of Britain Airshow. Pitch fee covers a single vehicle and caravan (or equivalent space). Does not include admission to the event, admission tickets must be purchased separately. The camping is inside the show area (flat grass field). Arrive from 12 noon Thursday 29th June leave by 12 noon Monday 3rd July. Water taps on site, toilets/showers – no electric provided.

Is there a way to get up and close with a Spitfire?

Many ways! You can book tickets to the Spitfire Enclosure or Flight Line Premier ticket.

Do children below a certain age get in for free?

Children below the age of 5 years old are free for all tickets types

What is the opening time each day?

ARRIVALS DAY – Friday 30th June
Gates will open at 12:00. Aircraft Arrivals from 12:30 with air displays from 16:00. A short remembrance service at our dispersal hut all welcome 15:30

Saturday 1st July
Gates will open at 10:00. A short remembrance service at our dispersal hut (all welcome) 11:00, with our full agenda of spectacular flying displays from 13:00.
Sunday 2nd July
Gates will open at 11:00. A short remembrance service at our dispersal hut (all welcome) 12:00, with our full agenda of spectacular flying displays from 14:00.

Do you have a complete event schedule yet?

The display items are released through the news section of this website and a full flying programme will be updated periodically. Air displays will take place from midday on each day

Do I qualify as a carer?

There are no concessionary tickets for disabled, military, blue light or OAP customers. However, ‘Carers’ may gain admission to the respective enclosure using a child ticket. So if you are a carer you may gain entry with a child ticket – if you can prove you are a registered carer. Carers must provide evidence of their ‘carer’ status such as; a disability benefit award letter, Carer’s Allowance award letter or Blue Badge letter as proof of your caring role. If not available, a letter from the GP or social services could be used. If such proof cannot be produced then the full ticket price will be payable.

Can I bring my dog?

You can but it must be kept on a lead throughout the event. You should also consider whether the proximity to loud vintage aircraft is suitable.

Is there wheelchair access?

The show-ground and aerodrome is essentially a large, flat grassed field – so the site is subject to weather conditions. Car parking is opposite the main entrance to the aerodrome with disabled parking near the entrance to the car park, you will not be allowed to drive onto the show-ground in a vehicle.

When do I get my tickets?

The Battle of Britain Air Show is a pre-sale ticketed event only. QR Code Tickets are generated electronically at the point of purchase and are immediately emailed to the email address you provided. Please ensure you check your own spam folders/junk inboxes if you do not receive the QR Code ticket/s email after your payment. You cannot request a QR code ticket to be re-sent in the last 30 days before the Air show commences – as we will not have time to process your request.

Tickets can be presented on the day either in printed copy or on the screen of your mobile device.

Can I buy tickets on the day?

The Battle of Britain Airshow is a pre-sale ticketed event only, tickets must be purchased in advance from the Battle of Britain Airshow website bobairshow.co.uk

Can I get a refund or request a change of ticket day or type?

You must read our Terms as part of the ticket purchasing process. Tickets are not refundable once purchased. Tickets are not transferable and may not be resold.

However, refunds or ticket change requests can be made by email only in the first 14 days after purchase. Refunds or ticket change requests can take up to 30 days for us to process. In other words, you cannot request a refund in the last 30 days before the Air show commences – as we will not have time to process your request.

Can I use my tickets from a previous event?

Tickets which were purchased for any previous Battle of Britain Airshow are not valid for 2023 event and therefore cannot be used.
